King Gary is a larger-than-life working-class sitcom that follows the trials and tribulations of вЂ˜geezer diva' Gary King and his childhood sweetheart Terri as they aspire to achieve moderate material success in competitive suburbia. This, accompanied by drama queen Gary's constant striving to impress his prehistoric old school dad вЂ˜Big Gary' and attempts to fill his big boots, equals a massive вЂ˜try hard' douchebag.

King Gary is a lighthearted look at how the small things in life can be blown up to absurd proportions, as the pressures of the modern world and how we think we must exist within it can spiral out of control. A big comedy about life's small and often petty dramas.
The sitcom comes from the creative team behind the Bafta-award-winning Murder in Successville. The series is written by Tom Davis and James De frond, stars Davis as Gary King and is directed by De Frond. Laura Checkley stars as soulmate Terri King, Simon Day and Camille Coduri are the unimpressible Big Gary and Denise King, Romesh Ranganathan is a nemesis neighbour, and Neil Maskell plays Gary's right-hand man and constant thorn in his shoe.
In the first epidsode, Gary's world is tipped upside down and thrown into utter turmoil when he discovers that a neighbour down his road is having a rival barbecue on the same day as his first barbecue of the year. To Gary this is out-and-out war and he sets about organising the biggest barbecue in history to win over the residents.
Meanwhile, Gary's childhood sweetheart Terri tries to befriend the aspirational Chloe Ferdinando by having microblading done but, when she cuts corners on the cost, the results are catastrophic. Big Gary is obsessed by a new online purchase, the World's Sharpest Knife, that can apparently cut through anything.
