If you already have Matlab 9.12 and want to update it, then you can do it officially ... demolish your matlab and install from this distribution
Or you can try to update without first uninstalling (i.e. use this distribution like an offline matlab update )
To do this, you must first copy and overwrite the VersionInfo.xml file from the root of the iso image from this distribution to the folder with the installed matlab, and then install matlab from this distribution as usual (you should be offered a folder with the existing matlab machine, if not - set hands to the correct folder). During installation, in the list of components, the components available in your matlab will be without checkmarks ... so if you need the same set of components, just invert the checkmarks in the list ... and add something else so that the installer does not complain about the complete match of the installed and available and did not refuse to be put at all)
