Kara savaşlarının yanı sıra, oyuncular donanma yaratarak düşmanlara deniz üzerinden de saldırabilecek. Cossacks 3, beş adet tarihsel tek kişilik savaş sunarken, sekiz kişiye kadar da çoklu oyuncu modlarını destekliyor. Oyuncular birbirleriyle savaşabildiği gibi, yapay zekaya karşı ittifak da yapabilecekler. Rastgele olarak yaratılan haritalar, oyuncunun ihtiyaçlarına göre sınırsız varyasyonlar sağlayacak.
