Daha önce 2005 yılında DC Comics'in korku çizgi romanı Hellblazer'dan sinemaya uyarlanmış olan ve Keanu Reeves'in başrolde oynadığı Constantine'in televizyona uyarlanma projesi için çalışmalara başlandı. Yapımcılığını Da Vinci's Demons dizisinin yürütücüsü David S. Goyer ve The Mentalist dizisinin senaristlerinden Daniel Cerone'in üstleneceği dizinin senarist koltuğunda ise Jeff Rake oturacak. Projede ayrıca Arrow senaristlerinden Greg Berlanti’de yer alıyor.
