Gavin Hood tarafından yönetilen film, Orson Scott Card'ın klasikleşmiş bir bilim kurgu romanından uyarlanmıştır.

Düşman bir uzaylı topluluğu dünyaya saldırır. Donanma komutanı olan Mazer Rackham, onlarla kahramanca mücadele eder. Askeriyenin eğittiği genç askerlerin arasından çok zeki olan Ender Wiggin'in birliğe katılması istenir.

Kısa bir süre sonra başarrılı Ender, Kumanda Okulunda yükselir. Mazer Rackham’ın tarafından, dünyayı kurtarmaya giden bu tehlikeli yol için bir eğitim alacaktır.
